Kur Park Nagayu

Kur Park Nagayu

A therapeutic hot spring complex modeled after Germany’s Kurort, designed to rejuvenate both body and mind.

Last update :

Kur Park Nagayu is located in Nagayu Onsen, renowned as the home of “Japan’s top carbonated springs.”
This spa complex draws inspiration from Germany’s Kurort, spa towns that meet rigorous criteria and are integrated into the country’s healthcare system.

All the hot springs at Kur Park Nagayu feature rare bicarbonate spring water, naturally carbonated as underground water dissolves carbon dioxide. Known to stimulate nitric oxide secretion, the springs improve blood circulation, raise body temperature, and promote recovery from ailments and illness.

The facility comprises three main areas: the Hot Spring Wing, the Restaurant Wing, and the Accommodation Wing. Visitors can enjoy the hot springs even on day trips. The Hot Spring Wing includes the Bade Zone on the first floor, where swimsuits are required for mixed bathing, and the second-floor Indoor Bath Zone, which offers gender-segregated baths.
One of the highlights is the 100-meter round-trip walking bath on the first floor, where walking slowly while immersed in flowing bicarbonate spring water not only promotes blood circulation and raises body temperature but also boosts metabolism, offering potential weight loss benefits.

At the Restaurant Wing, visitors can savor Japanese cuisine featuring seasonal Oita ingredients, such as Bungo Beef and Yellowtail fish, for both lunch and dinner (breakfast is reserved for overnight guests).
The Accommodation Wing features 16 cottages. Twin and loft-style rooms come with skylights, offering views of a stunning night sky from the comfort of your room.

Additionally, the beautiful wooden architecture, designed by world-renowned architect Shigeru Ban, incorporates eco-friendly materials like wood and recycled paper, creating a unique space that harmonizes with nature.
