【Cafe Curcuma】 Cafe Curcuma amid Fabulous Scenery in the South of Okinawa

I’m Misano, and I visited Cafe Curcuma, a famous cafe in Okinawa in mid-March of 2017. I felt as if Okinawa were bathed in early summer sunshine. Most of the month saw sunny days, the Cafe commanded a beautiful view and the scenery can be described, without exaggeration, as fabulous.

Originally from Ibaraki Prefecture, I grew up in a family of baseball lovers, and my favorite team is the Yakult Swallows.
Every summer, I look forward to watching high school baseball games, and I always make sure to visit Koshien Stadium!

Food I hate: Shishamo smelt, carrots
Hobbies/Likes: Watching baseball, music festivals, traveling
What I’m good at: Playing piano
What I’m not good at: The cold
Where in Japan I recommend the most and why to travelers in Japan.: Ishigaki Island and Taketomi Island. The flow of time and the culture on islands is so unique.
Favorite memory from traveling in Japan.: Shodo Island. I especially recommend the view of the sunset from the top of Ikeda no Saijiki’s hill. That spot has also become a popular filming location for dramas.
Must do activity for visitors to Japan.: There might be a lot of people who don’t enjoy it, but I recommend eating Ibaraki’s natto (fermented soy beans). Kume natto from Ibaraki is #1!
