圓滿院位於滋賀縣大津市，是一座擁有1000多年歷史的「門跡」寺院。所謂門跡寺院是指自古以來就與皇室有著深厚淵源的寺院。門跡寺院宗教地位頗高，在日本僅有17座，是非常珍貴的寺院。現在這座歷史悠久並充滿情趣的古老寺院還為旅行者提供坐禪、茶道以及抄經等各種可以體驗日本傳統文化的活動。

The vegetarian dinner was delicious and would recommend it to anyone who like me was skeptical of what vegetarian sashimi could be. The zazen experience was also eye opening if not a little chilly!

Meditating with the head (?) monk was an honor and a dream come true. The dinner and breakfast were fantastic too.

The food was outstanding! I did not expect a completely vegetarian dinner to taste so good. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The morning ceremony and meditation were a unique experience for me. I had a wonderful time!

I think the food was delicious.
The Buddhist priest here is very cordial, the chanting in the early morning & the experience of real meditation was enlightening.
