Sauna & Capsule Cure Kokubuncho, in Miyagi Prefecture’s Sendai City

Cure Kokubuncho is located about 20 minutes on foot from JR Sendai Station.

There are several arcades around Sendai Station.
The Sendai Tanabata Festival is held every August on this arcade street.

The price for an overnight stay starts at 3,280 yen.
Since the dinner served here has received very good reviews, I chose the plan for 1 night and 2 meals. This ran around 5,000 yen.

You can use your assigned wristband’s barcode to purchase items from the vending machines or the meal hall, then pay it all off at once before checkout.

Your assigned locker has clothes for inside the facility, and it is also equipped with a safe.

If you need a larger size of the facility clothes, you just need to ask at the front desk.
Towels are also available to use for free.
I didn’t take any photos of it, but there is a spa and sauna on the 5th floor for guests as well.

There are a variety of free amenities available at the washstand’s sinks.

The entrance to the capsule is wide, so it’s easy to get in and out, but unfortunately outside noise is a bit of a problem.

Earplugs are 100 yen. They’re sold out of a gacha machine.

There were no alcoholic drinks in the vending machine.

I chose Chinese dishes for my dinner option. The taste and quantity of the food was good, as I’d heard.

They have a selection of over 15,000 manga and magazines.

I went in assuming the facility would be nice since I chose it based on its reputation, but I was pleasantly surprised that everything exceeded my expectations!
The capsule was spacious, and the food was plentiful and tasty.
There was a large public bath, an inside bath, an open-air bath, 2 types of sauna, and a cold-water bath.
I understand why this place is so popular! I highly recommend it to men who are looking for somewhere cheap to stay in Sendai.
