Last update :

A hot spring inn at an elevation of 1100 meters, close to the Hachimantai Aspite Line, known for its spectacular views. The name "fuke-no-yu" is derived from the geothermally heated steam bath. The steam bath is called "Ondol," and the hot-spring cure of lying down on a mat on the warm ground has been practiced for centuries.

There are some “Ondol” huts on the site. In addition to the indoor and outdoor hot spring baths at the inn, there is an outdoor hot spring bath in the valley a short distance away. The open-air baths are located in the open land, with a cloud of steam rising from the baths and only the changing hut blocking the view. It creates a true secluded hot spring where one can enjoy. The open-air baths are unisex, but women may wear bathing clothes.

The spring is simple, mildly acidic, cloudy water. It is effective for neuralgia, skin diseases, and women's diseases. It is believed to be beneficial for fertility, and the shrine in the ryokan enshrines the deity Konsei.
