Mt. Moriyoshi, also known locally as "Mt. Akita" and popular as a ski resort in winter.
The Ani Gondola takes only 20 minutes to the 1,167-meter-high summit station, making it easy for anyone to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountain.

Mt. Moriyoshi is a treasure trove of alpine flora, selected as one of the "100 Flower Mountains ". From early summer to fall, about 300 varieties bloom, delighting the eyes of visitors.

Mt. Moriyoshi in autumn is covered in autumn leaves as far as the eye can see in a 360-degree view.
The view of the leaves gradually changing color from the summit area is spectacular, whether viewed from the gondola or from the top of the mountain.
There are also beautiful autumn foliage spots with waterfalls, such as Nakanomata Gorge and Tachimata Gorge, about an hour's drive away, which are also recommended to visit.

In winter, the view of juhyo is one of the three best in Japan, along with Zao in Yamagata Prefecture and Hakkouda in Aomori Prefecture.
It takes about 5 minutes from the summit station to get to the viewing point, and there is also a walking course called "Juhyodaira" that takes about 30 minutes around the mountain.
