Kakkoya, Kakko-dango

Genbikei is a Iwate’s scenic spot, strange and huge rocks are ranged in the length is about 2 km, which shows the rare beauty of a valley. The local speciality is the dango famously called the Flying dango named from this unique order. A lope stretched between two banks and hung the basket on it, first, customers hit the board to bring the basket, the shop staff sent the basket, customers put money in the basket, the basket reached the shop and the staff put the ordered dango and some tea, send the basket again. In this situation, the basket with the dango looks flies through the rope so it is called Flying dango.

In the taste of dango, Mitarashi is good with its sweet-salty taste, sesame dango with rich and savory, and Anko(bean paste) with smooth and elegant taste, these three sticks are in one box. The taste of dango with gentle sweetness spreads inside the mouth and sticky and tender tastes are gorgeous. The dango matches the gentle tasted green tea. The best way to taste these sweets with viewing the huge scenery of the valley at the eating area.
