Hanamaki Night around the Stars
Let lanterns float into the sky over a snowscape. The event is limited to guests staying at Hanamaki 12 Hot Springs.
The annual lantern festival is held on specified days in January and February. In “Sky Lantern,” you write your wish on a lantern and let it soar into Hanamaki’s night sky, which used to be a way of communication or a prayer ritual. The phenomenal scene became popular and various towns globally now hold lantern festivals.
“Hanamaki Night around the Stars” is typically held on a ski slope in winter. The sight of lanterns floating into the starry night over the snowscape is more divine and fantastic. Make sure to watch the opening event and fireworks as well!
Participation in the event is limited to guests staying in the Hanamaki 12 Hot Springs (with some exceptions). If you wish to participate, apply at the lodging you are staying at. The lodging provides transportation to and from the event. After the event, you can soak your chilled body in the delightful hot spring.
