Agurie no Mori Mitte

Agurie no Mori Mitte is a new brand launched by the long-established tea house "Ocha no Igeta" in Sendai. This brand aims to support agriculture and preserve Japanese culinary traditions while offering a blend of traditional and contemporary foods. Located within the S-PAL Sendai shopping complex at Sendai Station, the store features an in-house workshop.

The shop offers popular sweets such as "Kikufuku," a beloved item from Ocha no Igeta, along with other treats featuring the regional Tohoku flavor of zunda (sweet edamame paste). Kikufuku, a modern Japanese confection filled with fresh cream, comes in four flavors: matcha, fresh cream, zunda, and hojicha. It’s well-loved for its innovative taste and can be stored frozen.

The in-house workshop also serves a variety of zunda-based sweets, including zunda soft serve ice cream, zunda parfaits, and zunda shakes. The shakes can be topped with tapioca or warabi mochi for a unique texture experience, adding a fun twist to the traditional flavor.
