The Midagahara Hotel, situated at 1,930 meters elevation in the Midagahara Wetlands, offers a resort experience surrounded by highlands. From the hotel, guests can enjoy views of the Dainichi Mountain Range, the Midagahara Wetlands, Toyama Plain, Toyama Bay, and on clear days, even the Noto Peninsula. Stunning sights like sunsets sinking into a sea of clouds and star-filled skies are also visible.
The hotel hosts various events and activities to experience the seasons of Tateyama, including guided tours around the nearby mountains and alpine flora and stargazing events outside the hotel. Each room and the lobby offer panoramic views of the highlands, changing with every moment. The restaurant serves Japanese kaiseki meals featuring Toyama's seasonal ingredients.
Operating from late April to early November, the hotel is closed during winter. Note that access by private car is prohibited; visitors should use the cable car or bus.
