Fugan Canal Kansui Park

Fugan Canal Kansui Park is a large urban park spanning 9.8 hectares, located about a 9-minute walk from JR Toyama Station's north exit, in the heart of Toyama City. Built around a waterfront area that once served as a ship basin at the southern end of the Fugan Canal, the park features walkways and grassy slopes along both banks, creating a relaxing space where people can enjoy being close to the water while showcasing a symbolic cityscape.

The park is home to many attractions, including the "Tenmon Bridge," which features observation towers on both ends, the "Fountain and Waterfall Plaza" with a water curtain and spring fountain, and an "Open-air Theater" where concerts and performances can be held against the backdrop of a small canal. One of the highlights is the "Starbucks Coffee Toyama Kansui Park Store," which won the Best Store Design Award in 2008, and the French restaurant "Cuisine Française La Chance," adding to the park's charm with delightful dining options.

At night, the park transforms with beautiful lighting, offering a different kind of scenery. The park also hosts seasonal events, including fireworks and illuminations, providing plenty of entertainment throughout the year.
