Located near Sendai’s Central Wholesale Market, Sendai Jogai Ichiba was established with the goal of revitalizing Tohoku's rural and fishing communities while showcasing the region's abundant food treasures nationwide. Designed as a modern "Japanese marché”, the market offers a rich food experience.

Spanning a 700-tsubo (approx. 2,300 sq. meters) floor, the market features a variety of vendors offering fresh produce, seafood, processed foods, and specialty goods from Tohoku. You’ll find shops specializing in local sake, as well as traditional Sendai souvenirs like Sasa Kamaboko (bamboo leaf-shaped fish cakes), making it a great spot for souvenir hunting.
