CLANUOVA, the new annex of Kozankaku, is an auberge-style building that opened in 2017, adjacent to the main Kozankaku ryokan in Ginzan Onsen, Yamagata. Its traditional exterior harmonizes with the ambiance of the hot spring town. The new annex offers six Western-style rooms with views of the onsen street, all designed in a modern style, fitting the name "CLANUOVA," which combines Italian words meaning "newness" and "classic."
Dinner is an Italian course crafted by the owner, who honed his skills at a renowned restaurant in Tokyo. Guests can savor Yamagata’s unique take on Italian cuisine, featuring local ingredients like Obanazawa beef and fresh vegetables from Kahoku Town. The wine selection includes both Italian wines and a variety of Yamagata wines chosen to complement the meal.
Guests can enjoy a soak in the communal bath on the first floor of the main building or a private bath on the third floor. The baths are fed by a plentiful, free-flowing hot spring that warms the body deeply. Please note that only guests of upper elementary grades and above are allowed to stay.
