IRODORI is the newest brand launched in 2015 from Tsuruya Yoshinobu, a renowned Kyoto artisan confectionery founded in 1803. The brand has seen all new buzz after launching a new wave of revamped, modern sweets like macaron-like monaka and square-shaped yokan. The colorful and cute confections blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary flair.

One of their hit items, Kohakuto, is a visually delightful treat that resembles pastel-colored sticks. These dried sweets come in a clear case and feature five flavors: lavender, mint, rose, chamomile, and jasmine. Despite their innovative appearance, the crisp texture and smooth mouthfeel reflect the quality of a long-established confectioner.

IRODORI products are exclusively available at their physical stores, including IRODORI Kyoto Station Hachijo Entrance, Toranomon Hills, and Shibuya Hikarie Toyoko Noren Street. They are not available for purchase online. With a shelf life of 25 days, these sweets make excellent souvenirs from Kyoto.
