Here’s the Shinjuku branch of the famed bakery that hails from Karuizawa, one of Japan’s premier resort areas in Nagano Prefecture. The shop is directly connected to the JR train station so you can drop in easily.

Just like the motto says, at this spot you’re in for "bread that can only be found at SAWAMURA”. Each bread and pastry packs a flavor all its own thanks to the 30 some different domestic and international flours they use in their breads. The dough is then fermented at a low temperature for long hours to lock in the best of flavors. Select ingredients are a clear must with these breads, with extra special flavors drawn from four types of homemade yeast, mineral-rich Kanhoua salt, and 100% sugar from Amami Island sugar cane.
